ISO-14001 EMS

ISO-14001 is an international standard for environmental management systems (EMS) that aims to support environmental protection and pollution prevention in balance with socio-economic needs.

An EMS designed by IEM outlines the organizational structure, planning activities, responsibilities, practices, procedures, processes and resources necessary for developing, implementing, achieving, reviewing and maintaining a company's environmental policy.

IEM conducts EMS audits to evaluate an organization’s EMS conformance to ISO-14001 EMS criteria, and to the organization’s policies. IEM auditors determine whether the EMS is properly implemented and maintained by reviewing environmental aspects, regulatory requirements and management practices. If targets have not been achieved, the IEM auditor recommends appropriate corrective action.

IEM has designed an effective training program to give participants an understanding of ISO-14001 EMS elements and benefits, as well as the role of employees in an EMS.
